The Editor's Navigator, Wairua
John Bertenshaw took this picture of me in the process of putting Wairua back on her trailer at Mahurangi. Funny how it never looks that way in a photo, but it seemed to be blowing like hell at the time. Normally a one man operation, the swell caused the outboard leg to drop and become embedded in the sand. Always plenty of muscle available for launching and retreiving at Mahurangi. It was a memorable day out and a regular event Woodenboat Net NZ will be doing it's best to promote in 2003 |
