Spirit of Hauraki 1996

Owner Lou Stuuman's Dutch heritage comes out in this Navigator.
The cabin gives the boat a distinctly Continental appearance. Lou used construction grade plywood throughout the construction and installed water ballast tanks. He cruises the Hauraki Gulf out of Waiaki regularly. In the beach photograph Spirit of Hauraki has just been launched for the first time and Lou is still to make some adjustments to his mainsail etc.

Lou actually sails on my 'patch' but I have yet to meet up with him.....Dave
